Full Delivery Information .
The Villeroy & Boch ViClean Descaling Agent is a specialized maintenance solution for the internal cleaning and decalcification of the water carrying components within the ViClean and Tivo smart toilet series.
Given that shower toilets utilize internal heating elements and cleaning nozzles, they are susceptible to mineral buildup (limescale), which can impede water flow and degrade mechanical performance over time.
Technical Specifications & Performance
- Volume: 125 ml (single use unit).
- Dimensions: 35 x 50 x 160 mm.
- Compatibility: Specifically formulated for the ViClean (I-100, I-200, U+) and Tivo shower toilet systems.
- Application: The entire 125 ml contents must be used per descaling cycle. The agent is introduced into a dedicated service port or tank as specified by the model's technical manual.
- Frequency: The standard maintenance interval is every 3 to 6 months, though this is highly dependent on local water hardness. For water hardness levels exceeding 14°dH (2.4 mmol/l), more frequent application or the use of an external water softener is recommended to prevent damage.
Warranty & Maintenance Significance
Regular descaling is a critical requirement for the technical upkeep of the Tivo smart toilet. Failure to perform this maintenance can lead to the calcification of the instant water heater and the spray nozzle assembly. Under Villeroy & Boch’s warranty terms, evidence of regular descaling is typically required to validate claims related to the water heating or spray mechanisms, as damage caused by limescale is often classified as a maintenance related failure rather than a manufacturing defect.
Functional Mechanism
The agent works by chemically breaking down calcium carbonate deposits that accumulate on the internal heating coils and within the fine apertures of the HarmonicWave or standard nozzles. This ensures consistent water temperature delivery and maintains the integrity of the spray pattern and pressure.
