Created by Swiss designer Peter Wirz of Vetica studio, the Pro series emphasizes practical ergonomics over short lived styling trends. Wirz engineered the square trays to maximize usable floor area while maintaining efficient water drainage.

Positioning the waste outlet along the side edge keeps the primary standing zone entirely smooth and unobstructed. Gentle internal slopes guide water toward the side drain, ensuring rapid discharge while keeping foot placement stable.

Advanced Marbond Material and Adaptable Drainage

Laufen developed Marbond by bonding a dense mineral cast base with a protective 3mm gel coat finish. This solid construction provides structural rigidity, eliminating flex under load even across expansive square dimensions like 1500 x 1500mm.

The composite core absorbs room temperature quickly, eliminating initial cold shock underfoot. Its dense physical structure dampens the acoustic impact of running water, reducing noise in adjacent living areas. The nonporous gel coat resists household chemicals and retains its original white shade under prolonged UV light exposure.

Each tray comes complete with an official Laufen high flow waste mechanism engineered specifically for the frame. A standard cover grid is included, though the waste assembly allows you to swap in alternative decorative cover designs (sold separately) to customize the drain finish. A low profile rim allows step free flush floor installation or direct surface mounting onto subfloors.
