The TED TOGO Oval brings a more intelligent approach to showering, placing precise digital control into a discreet wall mounted interface. Temperature, outlet selection and everyday operation are managed from the Oval control, while the processor and mixing system are installed, easily accessible in a loft or storage cupboard. The result is a cleaner bathroom with sophisticated shower technology.
The experience is deliberately simple. Press to start, turn to set the temperature and select your preferred outlet, with the illuminated control dial providing visual feedback and the OLED display showing the selected temperature and outlet. Up to three outlets can be programmed to the system, while the digital processor continually regulates the water temperature for a consistent shower every time.
Key Features
- Digital temperature control: Electronic mixing technology continuously regulates the water temperature for consistent showering, with the system designed to maintain temperature within approximately ±1°C under recommended conditions.
- 38°C start-up temperature: The shower automatically starts at 38°C, TED's chosen default temperature for a comfortable everyday starting point. The temperature can then be adjusted to suit the user.
- 2 or 3 outlet control: The integrated digital diverter can control up to three outlets, such as an overhead shower, hand shower and additional outlet.
- Clear OLED display: The digital display shows the selected and actual water temperature along with the selected outlet, making the shower's settings easy to understand at a glance.
- Cool touch controls: The electronic Oval interface is separated from the water mixing components, meaning the visible controls remain cool to the touch rather than carrying hot shower water through the wall control.
- Flexible installation: The Oval control can be installed horizontally or vertically, while the concealed processor can be positioned remotely from the control. The control-to-processor cable can run up to 10 metres, providing greater flexibility during installation.
- Safety and performance: The system incorporates automatic shutdown in the event of a water or power supply interruption and provides flow rates of approximately 6.9 L/min at 0.2 bar, 11.2 L/min at 0.5 bar, 16.4 L/min at 1 bar, 24.5 L/min at 2 bar and 27.7 L/min at 2.5 bar.
- Premium Oval interface: The 195 x 75mm Oval control features brass controls, a stainless steel plate and a choice of seven finishes: Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel, Brushed Bronze, Chrome, Gunmetal Grey, Matt Black and Matt White.
A simpler way to control your shower
Using the TOGO Oval is straightforward. Press the control to start the shower, turn the dial to adjust the temperature and use the control to select your required outlet. The OLED display provides clear information about the selected temperature and outlet, so you can see exactly what the shower is doing.
Once the temperature has been selected, the digital processor continuously regulates the water to maintain a consistent temperature.
The system can control up to three outlets, making it suitable for installations incorporating an overhead shower, handset and additional outlet.
Why does TOGO start at 38°C?
TED digital shower systems default to 38°C. This isn't an arbitrary number. Thirty eight degrees sits close to normal body temperature, providing a warm and comfortable starting point for everyday showering without being excessively hot.
TED has made 38°C central to its digital shower philosophy because it provides a practical balance between comfort, safety and efficient use of hot water. The user can adjust the temperature to suit their preference using the control dial.
The result is a shower that starts at a familiar, comfortable setting rather than requiring you to find the right temperature from scratch each time.
Digital technology, concealed behind the scenes
One of the advantages of TOGO is that the technology responsible for mixing and regulating the water does not need to be visible in the bathroom. The digital processor and mixing components can be concealed within the installation, leaving only the Oval control on show.
Because the control interface is electronically connected to the mixing system rather than carrying the shower water itself, the controls remain cool to the touch. The result is a cleaner installation with the functionality of a sophisticated digital shower without a large conventional valve dominating the wall.
The Oval control can be installed vertically or horizontally, giving greater freedom over its position and allowing the interface to work with different bathroom layouts.
Installation
The TOGO Oval is a concealed digital shower system and should be installed by a suitably qualified professional. The processor, digital diverter and power supply are installed separately from the visible control interface, with the control connected to the processor using the supplied data cable.
The processor can be positioned away from the shower area, including in suitable service spaces such as an airing cupboard or loft, subject to the installation requirements. The control-to-processor cable can be run up to 10 metres.
The control requires a minimum wall depth of 40mm, with a minimum 42mm diameter installation hole. TED recommends installing cables within conduit to allow access for future maintenance.
The system uses ½" BSP water connections.
The exact installation arrangement, water system and required outlets should be established before installation. Low-pressure gravity-fed systems may require an appropriate pump to provide the required performance.

The TED approach
TED was created around a simple idea: digital technology should make the showering experience better, not more complicated. TOGO puts that philosophy into practice by taking the complexity of water mixing and temperature management away from the user and putting it into the technology behind the wall.
The result is a shower that is easier to control, more predictable in operation and designed to integrate into the bathroom rather than dictate how it looks. The TOGO Oval is the visible expression of that approach: a compact, tactile control for a sophisticated digital shower system working quietly behind it.
