The Pro S collection evolved under the direction of Swiss designer Peter Wirz and his agency Vetica. Wirz created the line around human centric principles, placing practical usability and long product lifespans ahead of fleeting trends.

That principle creates a balanced geometry where every detail has a clear purpose. The surface remains open and comfortable, while subtle perimeter slopes guide water directly toward the drain.

Marbond Material Engineering

Laufen engineered Marbond specifically to overcome the physical limitations of traditional enamel and acrylic. The core consists of a dense mineral cast, capped by a 3 mm protective gel coat layer.

This composite body alters the tactile experience of showering. The mineral core retains ambient warmth, eliminating the immediate shock of stepping onto a cold base. The mass of the composite dampens acoustic vibration caused by falling water, maintaining a quiet room environment. Additionally, the gel coat forms a durable, nonporous barrier. It resists chemical cleaning products and will not discolour under UV light.

Included with the tray is a dedicated 50mm siphon waste system engineered for rapid water removal. A matching colour cover conceals the siphon mechanism beneath. Sitting completely flush against the tray floor, this cap maintains an uninterrupted standing area while enabling effective drainage. With a profile depth of 30mm, the tray accommodates flexible installation methods, setting flush with floor tiles for step free access or mounting directly onto the floor.

• Hygienic Non Porous Finish: The smooth gel coat surface resists household chemical cleaning agents, inhibits bacterial accumulation, and retains original color tone under direct sunlight.
• Surface Restorability: Light scratches or accidental surface marks can be fully repaired using dedicated Laufen composite restoration kits, preserving the finish across long product lifespans.
