Frequently Asked Questions

Are your taps suitable for high or low pressure systems?

Low pressure is generally considered to be anything under 0.5bar, Medium Pressure 0.5bar and High Pressure 1.0bar and over.

If you have a high pressure system then you can use any tap, if you have a medium or low pressure system you will need to ensure that the tap you are buying will work on a pressure that low.

Not all our taps are suitable for medium or low pressure systems but they do have a minimum working pressure figure on each one. You just need to ensure that this number is at least as high as your system or higher.

Do your taps come with wastes included?

Many of our taps do come complete with a matching waste. Each product will tell you in the description if this is included.

Often taps did not come with a waste as whilst taps can be used on any type of basin, wastes are different depending on whether the basin has an integrated overflow.

Whats the difference between slotted and unslotted wastes?

Slotted basin waste should be used for basins that have an overflow integrated into them, unslotted basin wastes should be used for basins that have no overflow.

Newer Universal wastes can be configured to work in either type of basin.
